Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The room was spacious & comfortable with french doors opening onto a lovely outdoor area with views of the Pyrenees mountains. Also the garden was gorgeous to explore with chickens and a fish pond, and the friendly resident cats came to visit us each day. There was free secure parking out the front and a fabulous locate restaurant (Le Bistrot de l'Abbaye) in Saint Savin a short drive away.

Negative: A little difficult initially to find the accommodation so arrive in the daytime. Also be aware if you go out in the evening it is extremely dark at night in this location.

Summary: A magnificent time in a very peaceful part of SW France, great location for exploring the Pyrenees.
