The nearest metro station is Plaça Espanya (L1 and L3), from which you can reach all the areas of Barcelona in a few minutes, but knowing that the flat is in the city center will be also nice and funny walk rather than use metro. Also Sants train station is nearby, which means that you can escape Barcelona for a day tripto the nearest cities: Sitges, Castelldefels, Montserrat.
The easiest way to get from the airport by public transport is to use A1 and A2 Aereobuses, which reach Plaça Catalunya via Plaça Espanya, and from there you can reach the apartment by walk.
