Positive: It’s a stunning little apartment at the top of Assisi - with breathtaking views across Mount Subasio. There’s a kitchen, dining table, separate bedroom with tv. It’s a lovely space. The bed is extremely comfortable. There is a single comfy chair to look out across the mountains. I didn’t use the oven but the hob was super quick and efficient, and the pans were top quality. There was a boiler room/closet to hang coats which also hosted recycling boxes which was good to see and use (labelling them would have been helpful for what goes in which box). Assisi itself is a spectacular place. The paths and roads and buildings are outstanding. The basilicas and churches are what make the place so special for me - it was like a taste of heaven on earth. It felt a very safe place to visit too - I wandered early morning, through the day and at night and felt completely secure - the streets are all well lit, as are the basilicas and churches and lanes and paths. It’s a magical experience walking through Assisi at night.

Negative: The shower unit wasn’t sealed at the bottom which meant that water covered the whole bathroom floor and soaked my toiletry bag. The air conditioning units weren’t adequate to warm the space - the one in the kitchen/dining room was better, but the bedroom was really cold for the whole of my stay, and by the last night neither of the units were offering any heat at all. Had there not been a spare thick blanket to add to the bed I’d have been extremely cold. The listing for the property needs updating as the following things weren’t available: Washing Machine (I was expecting to be able to wash some items so this wasn’t good) Toaster Iron and ironing facilities Free Toiletries Wine/champagne Fruits Tea/Coffee maker Although it didn’t make a difference to me, the property also isn’t detached. It has accommodation below and above and left and right. As you enter at ground level it was fine for me. It was also obviously well noise insulated as I heard no sound from neighbours although I knew they were in because of vehicles outside.
