This unique, ground-floor apartment, in the historical centre of Spello, makes the perfect holiday retreat for up to 6 people.
With its own private entrance, down a flight of charming stone steps, this apartment is carved out of an ancient house, with many original stone features. The front door opens into the open-plan kitchen and dining area. The new, fitted kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob and oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and coffee machine. The dining table seats 6 people. Large, sliding doors open directly onto the living room. The two rooms can be separated if required. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa and a Smart TV.

Bedroom 1: This charming bedroom, with a large brick archway in the wall, has a double bed, a large antique wardrobe, work station with a chair and desk light and a flat-screen TV.

Location
The hillside town of Spello is an ideal base to explore the famous sites of Umbria. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the town is small enough to explore on foot. Spello is known for its flower festival. Dating back to the 17th century, the “Infloriata”, takes place in early June.
Assisi, with its famous cathedrals and shrines to St Francis, is just 20 minutes away by car. The stunning city of Perugia is a 30-minute drive. The town of Montefalco (30 minutes) is famous for its fine red wines. Visitors will find many different vineyards where they can try the wine and buy directly from the producers.
For self-catering, Spello’s weekly market takes place every Wednesday morning. Here you can find everything from food and flowers to clothes and handbags. There is also a supermarket a few minutes from the main town gates.
